The USI Graphic Design Service (email@example.com) is available to assist faculty, researchers and staff members in producing printed materials in a variety of formats (brochures, flyers, leaflets, posters, postcards). For business cards, please refer to the relevant article.
The Graphic Design Service (Lugano Campus) operates by planning its workload on an annual basis. When possible, users are requested to inform the Service by the end of January on the activities for which they will need assistance during a given year, and in the first three months of the following year, by completing the appropriate form.
In the event of events not included in the annual planning schedule, please contact the Graphic Design Service (firstname.lastname@example.org) at the earliest convenience, taking into account that for printed materials of a certain complexity (e.g. a booklet presenting the University in general terms, with more specific information about a particular Institute), the graphic processing, page layout and printing can take up to 4 weeks.
When a request is made, contents (text and imagery) must be delivered in their final version; the logotypes of sponsors or other partners must be supplied in EPS format (in colour, or black and white), and all images must be in high resolution (300dpi or higher) and cleared for reproduction.
Printed materials will be created in line with the USI corporate design guidelines. Where actual production is concerned, i.e. in the choice of paper and type of printing, users are invited to follow the advice of the Graphic Design Service, which may opt for in-house production or have the work executed by a third-party printer.
