Practicalities for the USI community

Internship abroad

The Career Service helps students and new graduates (up to 12 months from graduation) who wish to do an internship abroad. In particular:

  • Provides scholarships for all students regularly enrolled in a USI program, which can be used up to 12 months from graduation.
  • If the law of the host country requires it, the University can stipulate an agreement with the professional reality and the internship (Internship Agreement).

Attached models are available in Italian, English and French.
Università della Svizzera italiana does not cover in any case the insurance policies requested by the agreement.

For questions about the documentation, contact the Careers Service.

Please note that in some countries it is necessary to obtain a work permit to do an internship, directly addressing the company or the Consulate of the ‘host country’.
