Inclusive education involves teaching models and programmes that are fully accessible to students of all disciplines and levels, regardless of their disability, learning difficulties, language or cultural background.
To promote inclusion and offer equal opportunities to all students, USI acts in several complementary areas, offering tools and measures that can be adapted to different specific needs.
In order to ensure a fair and inclusive service, in accordance with the provisions of Article 2(5) of the Federal Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (LDis), USI supports - during examinations and throughout their education - students who have been recognised special educational needs falling within one of the categories listed in Article 1(2) of the Directive on inclusive education and the management of educational pathways and examinations for students with recognised special educational needs.
For further information, please consult the dedicated web page: Special educational needs.
In order to care for the psycho-physical well-being of its staff, USI provides students, and members of the intermediate, academic, professorial and administrative staff with a space for listening and individual support.
