Practicalities for the USI community

USI students' mobility

A period of study at another university or academic institution, preferably in a different language area, is designed to foster the broadening of the student’s cultural, scientific and linguistic perspective and consolidate the acquired knowledge and skills.

USI supports its Bachelor’s and Master’s students in planning and realising a study period abroad through its International Relations and Study Abroad Service.

USI students interested in an exchange period can find all the necessary information on the following pages:

  • Types of exchanges
This page provides an overview of the various exchange programmes offered by USI.

  • Traditional mobility: organizational aspects
An exchange period is an important opportunity for learning and personal growth and therefore requires careful preparation. Every mobility project is different and takes shape based on personal choices and aspirations. USI students can find all the information they need to organise a study abroad programme on this single page.

  • A sustainable approach to exchanges
The International Relations Service, in line with the recommendations of the National Agency Movetia and the principles of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, proposes a series of recommendations and makes available a selection of useful tools to help reduce CO2 emissions.

  • Summer and Winter Schools
This page lists the Summer and Winter Schools organised by USI's partner universities, as well as other useful sources for this type of opportunity.
