Practicalities for the USI community

IT security and personal data protection

IT security and personal data protection refers to all the tools, technologies and procedures aimed at protecting digital information, devices and personal assets in terms of availability, confidentiality and integrity.

With the increasing digitalisation of services, these issues are now pivotal.

To promote security within USI, the IT Service provides specialised resources to support its users.

In particular, you are invited to contact the security team for the following activities

  • protecting an infrastructure or a service or requesting advice on IT security;
  • protect personal data or seek advice on their processing;
  • report email messages that you believe may pose a risk to computer security;
  • report a computer security incident or personal data breach.

Each report will be taken up and tracked in the centralised ticketing system.
