Join the jury of the Choix Goncourt de la Suisse

Do you enjoy reading in French and would like to be part of a literary jury? The Cercle de lecture Goncourt is open to all USI students who want to discover contemporary French literature through engaging and shared reading experiences.
During our meetings, we will read and discuss several novels selected for the Prix Goncourt, the most prestigious French literary award. At the end of the program, a student delegation will represent USI in selecting the winner of the Choix Goncourt de la Suisse, alongside students from other participating universities.

• To read outstanding contemporary novels (books will be provided!)
• To engage in lively and enjoyable discussions in French (B2 level or higher)
• To experience what it’s like to be part of a literary jury
• To deepen your knowledge of French-speaking culture and publishing

How does it work?

• First meeting: Thursday, 17 September 2026, 17:30–19:00
• Classroom: Room TBD
• Total of 5 sessions between September and November
• Reading load: 1–3 novels
• Language: French (recommended level: B2+, Self assessment grid CEFR)

Laboratorio di lingue moderne

Il Laboratorio di lingue moderne è il centro linguistico dell'Università della Svizzera italiana. Il servizio eroga insegnamenti di lingua francese dall'A1.1 fino al B2.2 del Quadro comune europeo di riferimento per la conoscenza delle lingue (QCER). L'offerta dei corsi è gratuita ed è aperta a tutta la comunità accademica dell'Università della Svizzera italiana.
