    Minor in Management

    Within the Study Programme you will have various opportunities to specialize yourself, among which the Minor or elective courses you choose.

    You can use the 12 ECTS to personalize your study plan either by taking:

    • The Minor in Management
    • The Minor in eTourism
    • Courses offered by other USI master programmes in English as elective courses (to be taken in the 3rd or 4th semester)

    The timetable of the Master in International Tourism includes the courses that are part of the Minor in Management:

    Minor in Management (12 ECTS)
    Corporate Strategy (Autumn) 6
    Negotiation (Autumn) 3
    Project Management (Autumn) 3

    All of these courses are offered in the Fall semester.

    In the Study Programme all Minor in Management courses (12 ECTS) are listed within the 3rd semester, which focuses on `applying`.

     

    Minor in eTourism

    Study Tour

    Each year the 2nd-year Master in International Tourism students visit a tourism destination abroad during a Study Tour week, which is offered by the University of Lugano and accompanied by tourism professors.

    Thesis

    During the final semester, our Master in International Tourism students research and write a Master’s dissertation on a tourism topic of their choice.

    Master in International Tourism students benefit from Master’s theses research project support given by Postdoctoral researchers and PhD students affiliated to our Academic Partners.

    Changes in the study plan may occurr. In case of discrepancies, or for any legal purpose, the study plan indicated by the Director or the Programme Manager of the Master shall prevail.
