    • use individual applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), and access their own work files produced using these applications;
    • use scientific research programmes (SPSS, Stata, R) via USI 96 Core.

    Requirements

    • PC running Windows or MacOsx
    • Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox or Safari

  • Cloud applications and storage

    All USI users working on the Lugano Campus are able to access cloud applications and storage space, such as:

    • the Office 365 package; for information on individual applications and how to access them, please read this article;
  • FTPS

    FTPS

    Remote access is available through FTPS (FTP + TLS explicit encryption). Users can access the service via the ftps.usi.ch server, port 21 (default). To access the FTPS service you can use free software program, such as WinSCP (for Windows) or Filezilla (for all operating systems). Click here for the screenshots on how to configure access. Please contact the IT Service for more information.
